Our Missions & Outreach Programs

FEBC has many Outreach teams to serve our local community and communities throughout the world.

Monthly Prayer Breakfast

We have an active prayer ministry here at FEBC. Monthly Prayer Breakfast is held the second Saturday of every month. A light breakfast is provided. An inspirational speaker shares their story, and we sign over 60 handmade cards for church family and friends needing encouragement.

Our FEBC Stampers team meets once a month to make homemade cards for our Prayer Breakfast Ministry.

Missions Around the World

Throughout our church's history, we've been heavily involved in supporting missions.  Whether through monetary gifts, American Baptist missionaries, youth mission trips, we encourage our members to support those in need across the country and around the world.

In 2017, we sent a mission team of 15 people to Alaska to serve at two American Baptist-supported ministries: AK Child in Anchorage and to the Cordova Community Christian Center, at the Cordova Baptist Church.

Community Outreach

Locally, we provide a meal at the Saturday Community Meal at Wesley UMC in Bloomsburg several times a year. This is an opportunity for our church family to reach out to others in the community for fellowship and a hot meal.

We also participate in various other ways to locally serve the Bloomsburg area, including involvement in Meals on Wheels, hosting community events, and participating in blood, food and clothing drives for those in need. Esther's Closet is held each October to provide clothes, bedding, small household, and baby items free to anyone who walks through our doors.

Each year, we donate hundreds of blankets to Project Linus, a national organization which provides handmade blankets for infants, children and youth who are hospitalized locally.

Outreach Team

We encourage our church family to serve on any number of Outreach teams, including:

  • Monthly communion to those members who can't physically join us to worship
  • Goodie boxes with cookies and chocolates for our college students and military personnel
  • Various community events, such as fundraising walks to support members of our congregation

Our Mission and Outreach work is always growing.
