Our Missions & Outreach Programs
Community Outreach
Locally, we provide a meal at the Saturday Community Meal at Wesley UMC in Bloomsburg several times a year. This is an opportunity for our church family to reach out to others in the community for fellowship and a hot meal.
We also participate in various other ways to locally serve the Bloomsburg area, including involvement in Meals on Wheels, hosting community events, and participating in blood, food and clothing drives for those in need.
Each year, we donate hundreds of blankets to Project Linus, a national organization which provides handmade blankets for infants, children and youth who are hospitalized locally.
Second Saturday
Join us on the second Saturday of each month for a time of fun and fellowship. We have an informative presentation by a speaker, sing our favorite hymns, sign cards for our church family and friends needing encouragement, and share a light breakfast.
Bloomsburg Renaissance Jamboree
Each year, FEBC sets up a tent at Bloomsburg's Renaissance Jamboree and gives away free water, free snacks, and free prizes for kids. We aren't trying to make any money but rather spread the love of Jesus to our community.
Esther's Closet
Esther's Closet is held each October to provide clothes, bedding, small household, and baby items free to anyone who walks through our doors.
Bloomsburg YMCA
Trunk or Treat
FEBC is proud to be a part of Bloomsburg YMCA's Trunk or Treat for the past 2 years. Our themes have been Barbie and Bluey. What will it be in 2025???
Outfest
FEBC is proud to be a part of Columbia Montour Pride Outfest as we show what it means to truly love your neighbors!
Red Cross Blood Drive
FEBC is proud to continue to support the Red Cross with our annual blood drive.
Missions Around the World
Throughout our church's history, we've been heavily involved in supporting missions. Whether through monetary gifts, American Baptist missionaries, youth mission trips, we encourage our members to support those in need across the country and around the world.
In 2017, we sent a mission team of 15 people to Alaska to serve at two American Baptist-supported ministries: AK Child in Anchorage and to the Cordova Community Christian Center, at the Cordova Baptist Church.
Our Mission and Outreach work is always growing.
